| Lincoln, NE. - According to the Lincoln Journal Star Jeff Sullivan threw three touchdown passes to beat East 23-22 with the final score coming with 4:41 left in the game.
East, having lost six straight games drove to the Norfolk 4-yard line but missed on a field goal with 20 seconds left.
Spartan highlights included an 80-yard touchdown pass to Tyler McManaman on the first play of the game. Judd Stutzman lead the Spartans with 2 touchdown carries of 7 yards and 1 yard and 110 yards on 14 carries. Garek Petry also ran for 102 yards on 16 carries.
