COMMENTARY:
The Spartans find themselves down in the mouth at this point of the season. No doubt the Spartans have the ability to play with top ten material but, mentally they are broke down. Each member of the Spartan team has to play his role as a team member. Conditioning and leadership were lacking coming into the season and now they 've paid the price. It's quite obvious that those kids that managed to work out this past summer are playing their hearts out and playing well, but they need everyone's help. The rest of the team must catch up and play important roles next week. The Southeast game a year ago is where it all began. The season can turn next week and East could be very competitive in their district. The season is not lost and building leadership for next year should be a key goal for the Spartans. Containment must get better and tackling more crisp. The team has it in them, it's just they need to forget the fear before the fear gets them. Join me this week in encouraging our kids and give them the confidence they need for the Knights.
