| Lincoln, NE - A small crowd of 1,425 fans were on hand at Seacrest to witness a Panther victory 17-10 over the Spartans. Winless Spartans showed some improvement in the defense and held Norfolk to only 195 yards rushing.
The Spartans were inside the red zone three times to only come up empty . Finally, with five minutes to play the Spartans got on the scoreboard with a Jim Ebke 58 yard run. Three plays later the Spartans were on offense again and drove down to the 3 before Sedlak hit on a 20 yard field goal. The Spartans did get the ball back and drove to the Panther 40 before time ran out.
