Wow, what a player. After being held to 27 yards in 12 carries in the first half, he explodes for 243 2nd half Rushing Yards and leads East to a 32 point come back and a 35-24 victory over Norfolk. This guy does it all. I wonder if he drives the bus home after away games! Talked to him after the game and what a wonderul, wonderful young man! The press had done quite a few interviews with him and he still found time to talk with me and I wa so impressed with him as a person as well as a fantastic football player. I could see he was so very well respected as a leader by his teammates and his coaches. Hats off to Jum Ebke! He is on my list as one of the best I've seen and without a doubt, one of the classiest players I have talked with without ever meeting him before. This kid is a keeper and will go far in life. Good luck the rest of the way!

I know there are some very good QB's this year all over the state. Westside, Millard South, Omaha North, Southwest, but I agree with your comments. Chuck Mizerski after the game called him, "The Vince Young of HS football", The GI coach told his team the "Got beat by one of the best players he's seen." Dave Svela at Northeast even after beating East that, "He can totally take a game over." Now the Norfolk compares him to Eric Crouch when he was at Millard North. Even Ken Hamilton said in today's paper that "It was one of the most incredibe performances ever at Seacrest Field. When you have the respect of your peers like that you must be special. I hope he is the All-State QB this year! His performance yesterday was something I won't forget and I have watched Lincoln football for a long time.
PS: 1000 Yard Guy- You have great insight on this board and I respect what you say a lot!
